Sailor Moon Reviews
I'm afraid I've got some bad news for those of you who visit this site primarily for the long-winded Sailor Moon reviews I sometimes write: I don't think I'll be doing any more. I know, I know, I've talked about throwing in the towel before, only to return to reviewing more episodes after running out of other stuff to write about, but this time around...well, let's just say it'll take some serious convincing to get me to change my mind.

1) The series ended over two years ago. Apart from the hardcore fans, who out there is still interested enough in the show to read long-winded reviews of individual episodes?

2) I've devoted too much energy to it already. I like the show, sure. It has a certain goofy charm, and I've since become a pretty big fan of some of the actresses, particularly Ayaka. But look: I've written reviews of twenty-six episodes now -- half the series -- and each of those reviews has been about 1,500 words long (of course, some have gone on for longer than that; this one was well over two thousand words). That's nearly forty thousand words! For heaven's sake, there are novels shorter than that. I can't help but wonder whether my time might be better spent writing about something else.

3) I'm losing interest. Writing these reviews has become more and more difficult, since -- having already exhausted the better part of forty thousand words on various aspects of the show -- I've run out of interesting insights. I don't know how many of you have noticed it, but the reviews have been looking more and more like simple episode summaries lately, as I've struggled to come up with some joke or interesting tidbit to inject into them.

Sorry, everyone.

Woah. I wasn't going to comment unless someone else did... And there it is. So:

Your PGSM reviews are what brought me to the site, and they are the single best resource for detailed online info about the PGSM eps. I am sorry to hear you will not be continuing to review them.

Sailor Moon Forever!!

So I kind of randomly got linked to your site by a friend today and found it quite entertaining. Oddly enough it after watching part of one Keiko Kitagawa's (Rei Hino/Sailor Mars) movies earlier (Dear Friends). I'm sorry to hear you quit the PGSM reviews awhile back. It was interesting to hear you're thoughts on such a charmingly goofy program. Anyway I'll continue to check out your site regardless.
